CERTIFIED Veterinary Technician/REGISTERED Veterinary Nurse

Northwoods Animal Hospital – Minocqua, WI, small animal veterinary practice with satellite clinics in Eagle Ricer and Manitowish Waters, is searching for a full-time or part-time Ceterifed Veterinary Technician or Registered Veterinary Nurse.

Applicants need to have a strong work ethic, provide compassionate customer service, have a positive attitude, and work well as a team member while being self-motivated in a fast-paced environment. Good computer and communication skills are a must to maintain medical records and instruct clients with individualized pet care needs. The applicant will frequently be required to bend, stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Duties may include but are not limited to, animal restraint, blood draws, lab work, radiology, induction and monitoring anesthesia, assist with surgeries and procedures, assist with euthanasia, dental cleanings, trim toenails, administration of medication, proper sanitation, filling prescriptions, checking pets in/out for appointments and boarding. Willingness to help anywhere needed in the clinic is required. Previous experience in a veterinary clinic a plus.
