Full Job Description

Our veterinary clinic is hiring two full time or part time Veterinary Assistants to assist in the care of our animal patients. The candidate must possess the following criteria:

  • High School diploma or GED certificate
  • Must have computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, knowledge of Avimark is great, but no required.
  • Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations
  • Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Must posses a sense of urgency, and working harmoniously with teammates is required
  • Must be reliable, dependable, demonstrate strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling

At Cacapon Veterinary Medical Center, we provide compassionate, medical care for our four-legged companions. We are a one doctor privately owned practice. No weekends or late evenings. We require at least 2 years of veterinary assistant experience.

We are offering in hospital care for pets with one pet owner at this time. Our technician assistant appointments, drop offs, and medication pick ups are still curbside. The lobby to our clinic is still closed.
