Full Job Description

Camp K9 Pet Resort’s grooming demand has risen tremendously over the past year and we are looking to add another dependable, detail-oriented, and energetic groomer to our team! You would work alongside our current groomer, who has been with us for over 30 years. Our groomer is currently booking out 7+ weeks in advance, and we are looking to pass on new grooming customers to our new groomer so our current groomer can continue serving her existing clients. We have a very large customer base to market to and build up your clientele for grooming.

For the right candidate, we are willing to consider either a part time or full time position. Salary is commission based. Some grooming equipment and supplies will be provided, and groomer is responsible for their own grooming tools (clippers, scissors, etc.). Our reception staff is able to book your appointments for you and check out your clients so you are not interrupted while you’re grooming.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to groom minimum 5 dogs per day, according to each client’s specifications.
  • Some previous professional grooming experience.
  • Ability to stand throughout your shift and to lift 50+ pounds throughout the day.
  • Ability to groom large, double coated breeds.
  • Able to work well with other staff at Camp and flexible to share dryers, bathers, and other equipment that is shared between grooming and boarding staff.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to speak directly to clients and interpret the haircut details they would like for their dog.
  • Able to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
