Spring Mills Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA accredited hospital and we are looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced, progressive, veterinary practice team. We are looking for someone who loves animals, is highly motivated, is team oriented, energetic and is eager to learn and grow professionally within our animal practice. Candidates are qualified veterinary technicians or experienced assistants that enjoy a positive work environment and provides the upmost quality of patient as well as client care.

There is a $500.00 signing bonus for Registered Veterinary Technicians, who complete their 90-day training period.

Qualifications include:

1-year of verifiable experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant. Excellent communication skills (oral and written), able to learn and work in a fast paced environment.

Will remain calm in stressful situations, has a knowledge of general and preventive animal care and vaccine protocols. Experience with computerized veterinary medical records, Microsoft and Excel preferred.

Duties include:

Safe restraint of animals, caring for hospitalized patients, client education, and scheduling appointments, assisting the Doctors in appointments, venipunctures, blood draws and IV placement, performing in-house lab work and lab work to be sent out, and monitoring anesthesia.

Required experience: 1-year of verifiable experience.
