Dog Daycare Attendant - Waunakee Veterinary Clinic - Waunakee, WI

Supervise dogs of all sizes, energy levels, ages, and breeds in a group setting. Maintain a safe and fun environment by observing dog body language and provide immediate redirections. Provide compassionate love and care to the dogs. Clean up after the dogs and sanitize the facility: play areas, kennels, equipment, outdoor area, bathrooms, lobby, etc. Provide food, water and administer medication. Check in/out clients and process payments. Provide basic dog training activities. Provide exceptional customer service: answer phone calls and in-person interactions. End of day cleaning.

Qualifications/Characteristics: Love caring for and working with dogs. Reliable, timely, and excellent attendance records and have reliable transportation. Respectful, work as a team, have a positive attitude and provide friendly customer service. Have good written and verbal communication skills. Must have previous dog daycare, foster, or other pet care job experience with a wide variety of breeds, sizes and temperaments. Active, positive, friendly, motivated, learn quickly, team-player but can work independently, observant, detail oriented and responsive. Physical demands: You must be able to: Stand, walk and be extremely active for up to 6 hours/day on flat or uneven surfaces Repetitively kneel, bend, rotate, lift and other physical movements Lift at least 50 lbs Adapt to outdoor environments (hot/cold temperatures, rain/snow/UV rays)
