Veterinary Technician, Credentialed / Experienced - New Richmond Veterinary Clinic - New Richmond, WI

Our busy veterinary clinic is in need of a skilled veterinary technician – credentials preferred however experience (employed by a VETERINARY CLINIC for 1 year or more in a technician role) will be considered in lieu of certification for the right individual.

We offer competitive hourly pay, health insurance, a 401K retirement plan, employee discounts, and paid holidays off, Sundays off, half days on every other Saturday (8am to noon) and 4-5 day work weeks, (30-39 hours per week) – we are open daytime only (Shift varies between 7:15am to 6:15pm), no overnights.

We have a small town atmosphere with 3 doctors that provide high quality care. We are looking to add a team member that embraces the human-animal bond and is passionate about our patients and clients.

We are seeking someone who feels comfortable in many roles, including:

– client education over the phone and in person

– lab testing on our in-house equipment and prepare for outside labs

– collection of patient samples (blood, urine, feces, other)

– microscopy (fecal, urine, cytology)

– gentle effective restraint of canines and felines in a variety of situations

– taking history at admission and appointments

– administer and monitor anesthesia / sedation

– accurately enter medical records (Avimark proficiency is a plus)

– digital radiology

– dental procedures (including digital dental radiology)

– nursing care

– knowledge of basic preventive treatments and vaccinations

– triage and some reception duties

Experience in the following positions would be considered relevant: RVT, LVT, CVT, Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Nurse. A Veterinary Assistant or student in Veterinary Technology course that meets the qualifications above will also be considered.

Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
