Full Job Description
Our veterinary clinic is hiring a full time Veterinary Assistant to assist in the care of our animal patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up appointments, assisting the veterinarian during surgical procedures and cleaning and storing the surgical instruments when the procedure is over. We are a one doctor privately owned practice. We have a great atmosphere to work in. No weekends or late evenings. At least 2 years of veterinary technician/assistant experience is required.
- Assist veterinarian during exams and surgery.
- Prepare appointments prior to scheduled patient visits
- Collect and preserve laboratory samples
- Perform in house diagnostics
- Ensure all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and stored
