Full Job Description

First Choice Grooming and Boarding has a part-time Kennel Attendant position available for a reliable, detail-conscious person who loves animals and would like to work both outdoors and indoors in a casual work environment. This job will involve taking care of animals, cleaning and reception.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Walking dogs
  • Feeding animals according to customers’ instructions
  • Vacuuming
  • Mopping
  • Doing laundry
  • Answering the phone
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Recording transactions

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have your own, reliable transportation
  • Able to bend, stoop and kneel frequently
  • Able to work with minimal to no supervision after being trained
  • Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience with animals preferred (This experience could be as simple as having your own pets.)

Starting Pay: $9.00/hour

Schedule

The schedule can be based on your needs, but your work on weekdays will usually have to be sometime between 12 PM and 6:30 PM. Your work on weekends will usually have to be 8 AM-1 PM or 2 PM-6:30 PM. You will have to work 2 weekend shifts every 2 weeks but may choose to work more shifts if you would like.

Number of Hours per Week

The number of hours per week can also be based on your needs and will vary depending on whether you work on the weekend that week. However, it will have to be 13 per week at the least and 40 per week at the most.
