A New Tool Is Available for Pet Industry Job Seekers

PackHire has officially launched its new employment search engine and recruiting firm exclusive to the pet industry.

PackHire serves the pet-loving community through its platform, packhire.com, where job seekers can search jobs in a variety of industries such as veterinary care, grooming and boarding, dog training, rescues and nonprofits, pet food, retail, pet insurance, as well as new pet care start-ups—at no cost, according to company officials. Employers can post jobs, search the candidate resume database and work with industry expert recruiters to find quality candidates with niche backgrounds for their pet business.

Approximately 23 million households acquired a pet during the pandemic, according to the ASPCA. The spike in pet adoptions, coupled with investors pouring more than $2 billion of venture funding into global pet-focused startups since 2017, sparked the growth of innovative pet products and services, officials said.

“These businesses need talented, passionate staff to operate and continue to innovate,” said Seda Bolulu, founder of PackHire in Los Angeles. “PackHire was created by pet people for pet people.

“Through extensive market research we discovered that the name job boards created for the masses were not sufficiently catering to the rapidly growing $100 billion pet industry, and we wanted to build the platform where employers and candidates can easily and cost-efficiently find their pack,” Bolulu added.

Since its soft launch in February 2021, PackHire has served two of the largest animal hospital and pet resort chains in North America as well as doggie day care, grooming and boutique retail shops, officials said. With more than 1,000 active users, PackHire is on a mission to get pet-loving Americans back to work.

Investors, brands, influencers, bloggers and rescues can meet PackHire at The Pet Summit Oct. 23-24, 2021. Bolulu will be a panelist on Meet The Founders: The Ins and Outs of Business In The Pet Space, where she will discuss hiring trends, challenges, and the outlook for careers in the pet industry by segment.
